Remember to take time to think about the quality of life you want to experience in this new decade.  And take some time to think about how you could utilize your time and resources in more productive ways.

Personally, I've decided to involve myself in things that bring improvement to the lives of others as well as myself.   If I'm going to attend an event there has to be some equity involved for others on some level.  It's just not enough to go out and come home with the experience of having a good time only.  There has to be some return on how I use my time for someone somewhere.  That is why I've launched The Highgate Youth Leadership & Music Academy, to improve the quality of life for young people and develop young leaders, and instituted the Celebrity Party W/A Purpose fund raiser.  Join us if you would like to see people benefit and see lives changed in positive manner when you party.  We appreciate your support. 

To that end, tickets for the Celebrity Party W/A Purpose will be only $10 indefinitely because the academy's mission is not to make a profit as a promoter, but to help people profit as human beings.  Join board members Wendell James Sawyer, Blue Magic, Emanuael Raheim of GQ, Ultimate Persuader Tenor Evan Wills, Julius, "Juice" Freeman from the National R&B Music Society, me, staff and others as we exercise our mission to develop young people to become skilled, productive adults, law abiding citizens and ethical and effective leaders.

Difficult People Are Very Important ~ 

They teach you tolerance and acceptance.  If all was going your way all the time, you would become a spoiled child.  Wouldn't everyone?  Difficult people are just one of the ways God teaches us to expand beyond our egos and accept diverse perspectives on life.  But, when dysfunctional behavior stretches beyond established boundaries, you are free to cut it off before it poisons your life. There's no need to be mean.  Instead you can be confident and firm because there is a time when you have the right to say, enough is enough.  You have my permission.  Long suffering is a fruit and being your brother's keeper is healthy, but not when it's toxic. 

Free yourself of excess baggage that may be weighing you down, keeping you from accomplishing your dreams.  Start by looking in your closest circle ~ because they should know better ~ then spread it abroad. 

God loves you and wants you to enjoy your short time on this planet. Heal from hurt and get on with life.  Make 2010 a physically, mentally, emotionally and financially healthy year!
